David Hill, the Chairman, is a serial entrepreneur having run several successful companies in property, construction and IT. He saw the opportunity in business VoIP communications in 2008. In 2009 he founded this company and has worked relentlessly to ensure it’s success ever since. His concept was to make telecoms as simple as possible whilst offering tremendous value for money.
David continues to pursue other interests in commerce and charity.
David says: "I stand for long term business, building for the future. Business is far, far, more than just a profit stream. It is about delivering success for us all. Our future is based on the belief that in a changeable world sound values, sound finance and integrity will always succeed."
Chris joined the team in 2015 to develop the Technical Sales Manager role within the business. Previously, working in a challenging management role after having studied forensic science, he is able to deliver hands on people skills to the company and ensure that the “customer first” paradigm of the business is delivered. He is the first point of call for new customers.
Chris says: “It is a breath of fresh air to be thinking of developing a business where I can make a real difference to the way businesses and especially startups develop. There are some really exciting new developments happening all of the time.”
FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS
Angela came on board in March 2010. She has gained a wealth of experience in finance and accounting during her successful career. Her employment began in retailing, working for James Beattie in Wolverhampton with later moves into construction and the manufacturing industry. Angela is now keen to bring her skills to the rapidly expanding world of telecommunications.
Angela says, "This is a very challenging and exciting time for me and I am looking forward to continue working with Birchills Telecom's very dedicated and successful team. I will be providing them with continuing up to the minute accurate financial information and support to ensure the company is in the best position to grow and move forward. This will enable us to fulfil our potential as I believe we will."
Laura joined Birchills Telecom in 2011 in Accounts Support. She has a long record of exemplary performance in working with accounts. Laura has a strong drive and proven track record in customer service.
Laura says: "With Birchills Telecom we are fortunate to manage our network allowing us to utilise proven cutting edge technology with our propositions. With the UK broadband network growing literally on a daily basis, so is the potential for Birchills Telecom. I am looking forward to helping maintain our high level customer care."
TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM
Dan joined the team in 2013 as the voice of the support team. He is vastly knowledgeable about the intricate and esoteric aspects of the Linux servers and the IP phone service integration. He is also "the man" when it comes to porting numbers as well as providing the crucial link between the support and sales teams.
Dan says: “I really enjoy customer contact. It is great to be able to solve a really convoluted problem that some one may have or to be able to configure things in a new way to make the customers business more profitable."
TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM
Josh joined the support team in 2014 after having graduated in computer studies, he was keen to work in a Linux environment where he could develop new apps and programs. He has been instrumental in developing some of the software currently deployed including the API’s.
Josh Says: “I like the challenges in developing new cutting edge software in UC especially with the advent of WebRTC and a new UI. This is exciting cutting edge stuff.”
TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM
Sabrina joined in 2014, initially as an intern before becoming a valued member of the team. With specialist knowledge of social media she is able to bring a world view to the group. She is keen to grow and develop with the business.
Sabrina says: “I enjoy developing a social media strategy. We now have a greater presence in the webosphere than ever and it continues to increase geometrically. It is an area that an enlightened company neglects at it’s risk.”
MEDIA OUTREACH MANAGER
Claire joined the team to improve our communication and media outreach. She has a wide background in media including corporate videos and communications listing Jaguar Landrover amongst her previous experience. She is an experienced comedy actress and performs regularly with improvisation group Foghorn Unscripted. She is also a keen yoga enthusiast and recently qualified as a yoga teacher.
Claire says: "All the projects I've developed and worked on for Birchills have been great fun. I'm always looking for new and interesting concepts to deliver with an element of fun."
